Aaron Bohrer, AIA, NCARB, GB98

Aaron Bohrer, AIA, NCARB, GB98, is a licensed architect and general contractor in the State of New Mexico, and a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Board. He was a certified HERS Rater, by RESNET, and a Green Rater Designee, with USGBC.

He received a Master of Science in Architecture from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation at Columbia University, New York City, under the deanship of Bernard Tschumi and tutelage of Thomas Lesser, Michael Hayes, Zaha Hadid, and Wiel Arets. He received a Bachelor of Arts, and Architecture, from North Dakota State University, where he was awarded the Kirk Memorial Scholarship.

He joined the New York office of I.M. Pei & Partners and worked with Pei’s partner, Mr. Jim Freed, FAIA, on First Bank Place Headquarters, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, in Washington, D.C.

In 1996, Bohrer was a founding partner of Archaeo Architects in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and received numerous awards for his project designs, including the Community Bank project, located adjacent to the Railyards, in Santa Fe NM, and the Greene Residence in Los Alamos, NM, a film location for the Hollywood Film, Haywire and the Netflix series, Longmire.

In 2004, he established Archiscape, LLC and a pre-fabrication company, H-Haus, LLC. At Archiscape, he provides bespoke design solutions and project management while exploring the role of technology in design and construction, and productized architecture. He continues to collect peer recognition for his contributions to the built environment.

He is also a senior architect with Zydeco 66, LLC in Santa Fe, NM, where he manages the architectural design development process and acts as liaison with multiple architectural firms from coast to coast. He remains involved with the construction administration process on large commercial real estate developments, that include urban planning, multifamily housing, retail shell development and hospitality, located throughout the United States. He provided general contracting services on two of Zydeco’s residential projects, the Kachina Cabana, a winter retreat in the Taos Ski Valley, NM, and Palacio Azul, a 7-unit condominium project in Historic Downtown, Santa Fe, NM.

He was a contributing writer to Santa Fe Trend Magazine and a Board Member with Santa Fe Partners in Education. Currently, he is an active EDo Board member, a neighborhood association, and a NM Nonprofit Corporation, in Albuquerque, NM.
