Operettic 1: of or relating to opera. 2: grand, dramatic, or romantic in style or effect.

THE SETTING FOR THIS MANSION AND GUEST HOUSE IS BASED ON HISTORIC NOTES OF ANASAZI PLANNING, WITH “D” SHAPED VILLAGE PLANNING, WHICH ARE REIMAGED AS A RADIUSED MODERN HOUSE. THE CONCENTRIC ENTRY STONE WALLS ECHO THE MATERIALITY OF THE ANASAZI BUILDINGS, BUT ARE ENVISIONED LIKE LARGE WORKS OF A RICHARD SERA SCULPTURE, UNFOLDING NEW SPACES WHEN WALKING ALONG A CURVE. WHAT LIES AHEAD?

TENDING TOWARD THE DRAMTIC, THIS HOUSE CONCEALS ITS ENTRY, ONLY TO REVEAL FORMAL AND INFORMAL PRESENTATION OF CURATED OBJET D’ ART. REDUCING THE SIZE OF THE ENTRY SPACE, ONLY TO EXPAND AND SURPRISE THE VIEWER WITH EXPANSIVE VOLUMES AND PANORAMIC VIEWS. AN “ACEQUIA OF LIGHT” - A LINEAR WALL TRANSECTING THE CURVE - GUIDES THE GAZE FROM INDOOR TO OUTDOOR AND BEYOND INTO A SWEET ARIA OF THE NEW MEXICO LANDSCAPE.

ENTERTAINING FOR A LARGE DINNER PARTY OR RELAXING BY ONESELF, ALL EXPERIENCES ARE WELCOME AND ACCOMMODATED IN THIS PIECE OF FLOWING ARCHITECTURAL MUSIC. TO SEE MORE, PLEASE VISIT::
